HDS ViewStation Plus Series
Human Designed Systems, King of Prussia, PA announced their new
ViewStation Plus line of X Window System terminals on September 5,

The HDS ViewStation Plus series has these models:
v14 640x480 pixels 4 gray shades
v16 1024x1024 pixels 4, 16, or 256 gray shades
v191 1024x864 pixels monochrome
v19 1280x1024 pixels 4, 16, or 256 gray shades
v14c 640x480 pixels 16 colors
v15c 1024x768 pixels 16 colors
v16c 1024x800 pixels 256 colors
v17c 1280x1024 pixels 256 colors
v21c 1280x1024 pixels 256 colors
The ViewStation Plus uses dual processor architecture, an Intel 80186
- 16 MHz for communications and a TI 34010 - 60 MHz for X display
graphics. Base configuration is 1.75 MB memory. RAM may be
added up to 9.0 MB total. ThinWire or ThickWire Ethernet is
standard. IBM keyboard standard (DEC keyboard optional). Three
button mouse standard (two button mouse or trackball optional).
Server code runs from ROM or can be downloaded into RAM. 25
standard fonts included in ROM. Setup Mode and Telnet are local X
clients. X server supports FTP and TFTP protocols, Domain
Nameservice, SNMP protocol, BOOTP, ARP and RARP, downloadable
server image, and downloadable colormaps.
Prices run from $1999. for the v14 to $5999 for the v21c and
includes a 4 year warranty, one year of software updates, one year
of telephone support, and 30 days of on-site service.
This is a fast, flexible X terminal system tested at 30,000 Xstones.
