regarding the entire Lotus Marketplace product... as nasty and predatory as i think Lotus is, as a company, i think all the media and net hoopla about their Marketplace ex-produce is misplaced. there are already loads of such databases being sold and traded behind the scenes today. the elimination of Lotus' product is not going to do much of anything except perhaps to get some Lotus marketing dweeb demoted. the "problem" of junk solicitations and the easy availability of credit and lifestyle data on most americans is not going away just because Lotus wimped out of their latest dopey product idea! the problem remains, so don't get complacent, yall! followups to comp.org.eff.talk. -- /* Salaam, not Saddam. */ /* eli@spdcc.com eli@pws.bull.com 617 932 5598 508 294 7556 */
