[comp.org.eff.talk] League for Programming Freedom

shiva@pro-smof.cts.com (System Smof) (03/08/91)

The issue that is the main concern of the LPF is that of frivolous but
vigorously defended software patents (like controling the sound volume on an
Apple II or IBM-PC speaker [aka "pulse-width modulation"], for example).

Is this issue within the purview of the EFF? There was an open letter on
the topic printed in the March 1991 issue of DEC Professional magazine.
