160 meters. several rare stations showed up last weekend and
are still active this week on top band. watch for d44bc,
5w1ej, wb0miv/8r1 and kj9w/kh2. also, the excellent

look for operators john and chou on 3795 khz, especially on
thursdays in the company of du9rg.

propagation. 160 and 80 meters have been very quiet lately,
and many weak signals are copyable. 40 and 20 meters still
appear to be suffering from recent solar storms, as many
signals have unusual flutter. good long path openings have
been experienced at both sunrise and sunset on 40 meters, with
many zone 17 and 18 stations worked by east coast u.s. stations
on the long path around 11 to 1200z. the solar flux continues
to decrease as we head toward the bottom of cycle 21.

but was asked to qrt by local authorities. no official word.

papua new guinea. jim, p29js, continues active three or four

this month or next from south sandwich in the atlantic ocean.
