For those concerned about software patents: ---------------------------------------------------------------- The Department of Commerce, Patent and Trademark Office has issued a request for comments for the advisory commission on patent law reform. Written comments are to be submitted by July 15, 1991. The advisory commission on patent law reform commission will be submitting a report to the Secretary of commerce by August, 1992 on the state of and the need for any reform in the US patent system. To ensure that the Commission recommendations represent a true consensus of the American public and the patent user community, public comments are invited on the issues to be considered by the Commission.
