I'm posting this for a friend of mine, so please, if want to reply, do this to his email address, and not to mine. Preferably, of course, post your follow-ups to netnews.... In a message to all the readers, he publicly states incorrect facts, talks about the EFF as though they where a bunch of net.terrorists, and kicks Len Rose a little more. After that message he goes along and compares Mr. Rose to Al Capone. And more, and more, and more...... Mr. Townson has shown a moral irresponsibility through his posts, and has more than once shown his ignorance and bigotry towards hacking and hackers. While I wouldn't want Patricks net.access to be revoked, I would sure want him to know what you think about his statements. I know a lot of people read the Telecom Digest or comp.dcom.telecom and are aware of Mr. Townson's posts. If you don't, I urge you to read them. Please show the net that we will not tolerate ignorant Moderators who puke out falacies and continue to spread malicious slander on the net. Post to telecom@eecs.nwu.edu and tell Patrick what you think. I have. You should. (Even if you agree with Patrick Townson, I'm sure that the way he said it offended a lot more people than just me..... especially his remarks about the EFF.)
