doc has said no to a crrl request  that  doc  issue  a  gazette
notice  calling  for  expansion  of the canadian 75 metre phone
band.  doc now expects to release proposals for public  comment
by next summer.

in commemoration of the  250th  anniversary  of  la  verendryes
arrival  in  manitoba,  amateurs in manitoba may use the prefix
cg4 during the month of december.

a dxpedition to establish a station at a favorable location  on
the  west  coast  of ireland to attempt a transatlantic 2 metre
contact is being planned for  august  1985  by  the  west  kent
amateur radio society in the u.k.  they would like to hear from
canadian amateurs who would be in a position  to  operate  high
power  stations  on  the east coast during the dxpedition.  for
