qst de k9eui hr arrl bulletin nr 115 from arrl headquarters newington ct december 12, 1984 to all radio amateurs bt in a move designed to improve service to the arrl members, and hq efficiency and to more effectively address recruitment/membership promotion goals, a reorganization of the arrl hq structure is being implemented. effective immediately, five offices have been established, with each office manager reporting to the general manager. the five offices are publications, volunteer resources, membership communications services, development, and administrative services. the office of publications coordinates the activities of the production, circulation, advertising and technical departments. of particular interest to arrl field organization volunteers is the new office of volunteer resources, which centralizes support for the leagues important volunteer community, including the field organization, volunteer examiners, affiliated clubs, and league sanctioned conventions and hamfests, into one office. the office of membership communications services is responsible for providing information and individual services to arrl members, such as w1aw, the arrl letter, contests, operating awards including dxcc, legal/regulatory information, and other related activities. the office of development will undertake the substantial recruitment and membership promotion campaign as authorized at the last board meeting, as well as public information and fund raising. the office of administrative services includes accounting, purchasing, central computer, and hq building maintenance. details will follow in the arrl letter and qst ar
