I tried emTeX and found it's very nice program under OS/2. Although dviscr previews dvi documents nicely, the hardcopy from a hp laser jet is not good. It drops many characters and spacing looks weird. Sometimes it prints overlapping. I reran fmt in order to update the (l)plain.fmt files. But it did not help. The laser jet is a HP LaserJet II. Is there anyone who can give me suggestions on this problem? Thanks in advance. -hjl --------------- LEE, Hyo Jong - OI - 801-581-8377 (office) 801-582-5127 (home) ({ihnp4,decvax}!utah-cs!h-lee, h-lee@cs.utah.edu)

[...] I hope this bug has been fixed with dvihplj 1.4c. If you don't have version 1.4c or later, you should try to use the /fl-1 option. This bug should show up only when dvihplj runs out of memory; maybe you don't have enough disk space for SWAPPER.DAT (or swapping is disabled). -- Eberhard Mattes (mattes@azu.infor matik.uni-stuttgart.de)
