[comp.os.os2.apps] Help on dvihplj of emTeX

h-lee%hogum.utah.edu@cs.utah.edu (LEE Hyo Jong) (10/06/90)

I tried emTeX and found it's very nice program under OS/2.
Although dviscr previews dvi documents nicely, the hardcopy from a hp
laser jet is not good. It drops many characters and spacing looks
weird. Sometimes it prints overlapping. I reran fmt in order to update
the (l)plain.fmt files. But it did not help. The laser jet is a HP
LaserJet II.

Is there anyone who can give me suggestions on this problem? Thanks in
advance.

I hope this bug has been fixed with dvihplj 1.4c. If you don't
have version 1.4c or later, you should try to use the /fl-1 option.
This bug should show up only when dvihplj runs out of memory;
maybe you don't have enough disk space for SWAPPER.DAT (or
swapping is disabled).
