I am very new to Ham radio and still working on geting my Novice license togeather ( I'm getting pretty close.) My profession is Electronics Engineering so the theory wont be the problem. I am looking for information on the various RTTY interfaces to RS-232 computer ports. My main interest is up grading to technition as soon a possible and get into packet ratio. So if any of you can provide me with information on which RTTY interface is the best for the money it would be much apreciated. Also, the ARRL has just approved the packet switching protocol x.25 addaptation to ham - radio. I also program in assembly and C and would be very interested in developing a program similar to modem7, mex and mdm112 for CPM systems which would utilize this protocol for ham. If anyone can furnish me with information concerning this protocol, or can recommend any source of information for this protocol (I already have ordered the new ARRL book on the subject), or source I will share my results. Thank you, George Hageman 303-444-3185 (hm) 303-530-3905 #202 (wk) P.O. BOX 68 Jamestown, Colorado 80455 comuter interfaces available for RS-232 interface t

I just got my Heathkit catalog and described within is such a device. Does anybody out there have any experience with it, and to receive news service broadcasts, does it require the optional filter elements? -- Jeff C. Glover, Tektronix, Inc.
