I'm posting for a friend, so if the terminology isn't exaclty right, it is because you are getting it third hand: The 256K mem chips on the 520ST have 8pins. The 1meg chips, however, have 10pins. My friend is looking for a cheap way to upgrade memory by just yanking out the 256Ks and replacing with 1meg chips. What do you do with the two extra pins...? Is this kind of an upgrade possible...? NOTE: He did do it on a 520STfm because it had a 1040 motherboard. It cost him $35 (U.S.) and about three hours time. NOTE: This 520 does not have the RF modulator or Built in disk drive. That should help date the equipment... -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ARMAGGEDON SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ schultzd@egr.msu.edu | Dave Schultz, Michigan State University schultzd@cpsin.cps.msu.edu | Dept. of Computer Science ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Relax!
