--- i am writing a csh(1) because i just can't live without pipes any longer. when finished, i will post bin AND src to the net. i like gulam, but use microemacs 3.10 so gulam really buys be nothing. anyway, i'd like to impliment the "gem" command. here are some questions i need to find out: 1) besides turning on the mouse, turning off the cursor before the command (reversing on exit), is there anything else i need to do? 2) do i have to install the shell as .prg or can it be .ttp? if it is .prg, is there any need to do vdi (i.e. can i use line A to show the mouse)? is there a better solution? i'd like for the shell to impliment soft links and mounted file systems (!) as well, so i can use an /etc/fstab at least from the shell's point of view. i'd like to make the shell know about /etc/termcap, if possible, too. plenty of work ahead, don't expect anything before christmas, i suspect. i'll probably switch to dlibs and add support for "/" paths switched via the environment somehow. i'll probably merge my libc.a with dlibs2, if dale will let me, and post the new library as well. we'll see... thanx for your help... -bill rosenkra%c1yankee@convex.com Bill Rosenkranz |UUCP: {uunet,texsun}!convex!c1yankee!rosenkra Convex Computer Corp. |ARPA: rosenkra%c1yankee@convex.com
