Details of responsibilities and requisite qualifications will appear in next Bulletin. * Bulletin Information Sources * The generation and editing of the weekly UoSAT Bulletin is a considerable task for the small team at UoS and therefore we welcome contributions from all sources providing the content is of general interest to satellite users/experimenters. Much general news is gleaned from ASR and other sources worldwide via Telemail. Due to the limited space available for the UoSAT-1 Bulletin, this information is generally edited and condensed and it is not always possible to acknowledge the source in detail. It is quite a problem to 'shoe-horn' the Bulletin to fit efficiently into the OBC memory - we regularly have just ONE byte spare! So you can see that, at times, every letter/space etc counts! We are, however, very grateful for the information passed to us and we hope that the UoSAT User Community finds the service and content interesting & useful. * UoSAT-OSCAR-11 Stabilisation * Automatic attitude control manoeuvres, carried out by the OBC, successfully restored gravity-gradient stabilisation to UO-11 after inadvertant destabilision last November - all is OK. * NOAA-9 * NOAA-9 was launched at 10:42 gmt on 12 December and is scheduled to enter service on 1st February 1985. ** UoSAT-Oscar-9 Schedule ** The UoSAT-1 Experiment Schedule will change from 110185 to reflect majority interests of the user community derived from an analysis of the many reports and suggestions received during 1984. It is, of course, not possible to please everyone and some of the suggestions would necessitate a great deal of software development which we cannot, at present, support - but we hope that the new schedule will meet with general approval. Comments are welcome however! The new schedule will be as follows: Friday - load Bulletin Saturday - Bulletin/1200 bps telemetry Sunday - Bulletin/1200 bps telemetry Monday - DIGITALKER/1200 bps telemetry Tuesday - Radiation data - next week CCD data Wednesday - Computer check-summed telemetry Thursday - Whole orbit telemetry survey This weeks schedule is as follows: Friday - load Bulletin Saturday - Bulletin/DIGITALKER/1200 bps telemetry Sunday - Bulletin/DIGITALKER/1200 bps telemetry Monday - Bulletin/DIGITALKER/1200 bps telemetry Tuesday - CCD Camera - next week Radiation data Wednesday - Whole orbit telemetry survey Thursday - Computer check-summed telemetry The 21 MHz Beacon will be in use this week. ** UoSAT-Oscar-11 Operations ** DAY ORBIT CHANNELS RESET TIME *** ***** ******** ********** Monday 4349 2,3 11:34:49 (OBC told to change d/link from TLM to ODATA after 6hrs) Thursday 4399 1,2,3,52 21:20:21 Friday 4412 (OBC told to change d/link from ODATA to TLM after 9.5hrs) Monday 4427 2,3 19:24:46 (OBC told to change d/link from TLM to ODATA after 5hrs) Sunday 4444 1,2,3,52 23:17:49 (OBC told to change d/link from TLM to ODATA after 5hrs) Monday 4451 2,3 11:05:06 Wednesday 4479 reset Watch-dog (OBC told to change d/link from ODATA to TLM after 15min) 4480 1,2,3,52 10:54:50 despin to Zspin=4mins 4481 (OBC told to change d/link from ODATA to TLM after 7.5hrs) Thursday 4494 despin to Zspin=5mins Friday 4509 2,3, 10:32:05 435 MHz DSR 9600 bps psk test 4510 435 MHz DSR afsk tests (OBC told to change d/link from ODATA to TLM after 19hrs)
