This is posted for a user of a BBS I run:
I understand through the grapevine that sometime next year there MIGHT be
some dRam dumping from Japan. So it is time for me to think about doing a
memory upgrade for my old unexpanded 512K machine.
I *_*THINK*_* I have figured it out using 256Kx4 devices, which would
necessitate only 4 devices. However, I might want to look at using 1Megx1 or
1Megx4 devices instead. Has anyone done any preliminary work on this?
Also.... I seem to recall some information about jumpers to tell the MMU what
RAM devices are being used. Does anyone have any information about that?
If not, how does the system tell what amounts of RAM are available?
