Remember I asked about adding a drive to my current hard drive system. The drives I have to choose from are as follows: Seagate ST255, 20megs, MFM, 1 year old, no bad sectors Miniscribe HH225, 20megs, MFM, 3 years old, 1 bad sector I would probably go with the Seagate. Is this drive worth investing $100 for? I already have an ST157N-1, and I'm afraid I'd have to shell out another $100 for an Adaptec or OMTI controller to get the drive to work with my ICD host. Is there anyway I can connect the ST225 to the embedded controller on the ST157N? I am assuming that it would be a direct connect if it was possible, and I wouldn't have to do any soldering or tweaking of any kind. All information, stories about working with these drives, or adding another mech to an existing system would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help!
