I get source code on IBM PC 5 1/4 inch floppies (360 k) and I need the capability to read these disks with my Atari ST. I know that the Atari ST uses the same disk format as the IBM PC. I saw a 5 1/4 inch disk drive in a magazine once that was designed for use with PC Ditto. Does anyone know if that will work with regular Atari ST disk reads and writes? Can anyone send me some plans for converting an IBM PC disk drive to work with the Atari ST? I can get a drive with power supply for about $100, but I am sure some extra circuitry or wiring will be necessary to make it work with the ST. Also, I would need a plug that will fit the Atari ST floppy drive port. Thanks for any help that you can send me! I will post a summary to the net if I receive some good information.
