You see, it goes like this: I have 2 meg of 256k Simms lying around and I would love to use them. I know that there are SIMM boards available (JRI, etc.) but I do not believe that any of them support 2 4-SIMM banks. Someone once wrote me saying they had managed to do a direct connect with the SIMMs, with the exception of needing to buffer, I believe, the write-enable line. I would like to do basically the same thing, but I gotta know what Pin(x) is and where it should go. Also, does anyone out there foresee problems with doing this type of an upgrade? I have a 520ST (version with the rf out) so I know that space will be tight, and that I will probably be limited to 1 meg simply because of space considerations. However, if I can do it, let me know how. Also, if anyone could point out a few good, easily obtainable (If I can get it at the local bookstore, or at the campus one, this is GOOD) books that might aid my quest for expanded memory - and the thrill of the hack! Something like: "the TI guide to Memory" which would include total specs on simms in-use by Macs, etc. -Mike
