[comp.sys.atari.st.tech] Memory expansion dies

ronw@cbnewsk.att.com (ronald.g.wolenty) (11/01/90)

I have a memory expansion board for my 1040 that has suddenly died.
The board is made by AERCO. It has been working for about 6 months
then suddenly the video is garbage. Has anyone had experiences like
this. If I remove the board I can run as a normal 1040. I suspect
a bad solder joint somewhere. Has anyone used a memory board they
can really reccommend? This board is a nice idea but the quality of the
manufacturing is really poor. Many land areas on the PWB are too
small contributing (imho) to the soldering problems.
