[comp.sys.atari.st.tech] GDOS printer drivers

schultzd@frith.uucp (David Schultz) (10/22/90)

I just picked up Microsoft Write at an Atari swap meet. It comes with
GDOS. However, there is only support for the Atari SMM804 printer. I
have an EPSON FX-85. Is there any way I can get support for my
printer? I would really like to get at some of these cool fonts.

Please e-mail responses as I haven't been able to read news very often
   lately.

   Thanks

Yes! Any information on where to obtain GDOS printer drivers would be useful.

While we are on the subject of GDOS drivers:

I have the GDOS printer driver for an Epson FX printer. However,
MS-Write will still not print in fonts. Has anyone gotten this to
work? (Note: I have heard people flame the crap out of MS-Write.
I've already bought it, so please don't bother. Yes, it is flaky, BUT
it is better than First-Word.)

Thanks for any help!

Check your printer setup. Mine worked perfectly. ('Course, I was using a
DeskJet with an Epson cartridge, so my observations may not count...)
