I once knew how "low-level" St graphics worked but forgot :-( That is, there are the 4 bit planes and a color table and good stuff like that. Would someone care to explain it in detail? How it is different for the Ste? In a similar vein, how does horizontal/vertical sync palette swapping work (to get more colors)? Trade offs? Any source examples to look at? I have the graphics format file but some of it doesn't make sense, like the Spectrum format... My Ste is on the way, I'd love to be up to speed when it arrives! Thanx.
