[net.ham-radio] HELP!!! bulletin readers

bulletins have been sparse lately for several reasons; there
have not been many, propagation has been stink-o, and qrm seems
worse, both due to propagation changes and increased 80 and 40
meter activity because the higher bands are so bad. Also radio
moscow is now blasting North America with their sigs on 5
frequencies in the 40 meter band alone!

I have written the arrl, requesting that they consider a
change of their bulletin frequencies. It is quite obvious that
they do not monitor a frequency before transmitting and this
often results in murderous qrm. Also on 40 meters, they are
just a few kHz away from a mail box system.

I requested that W1AW begin bulletin transmissions on 30 meters
which would give another path to choose from but they said "the
board voted not to"!!!!!

I have just installed a diversity comparator that I hope will
give better results here but I would like to see those of you
that appreciate having the bulletins, write the ARRL and urge
them to go elsewhere on 40 meters, and to also transmit on 30
meters. (I expect to see flack/flames on this idea, but my
suggestion was that they move to the very bottom of the bands
where they would be easy to find and would not have other rtty
qrm). The other problem with the present 40 meter frequency is
frequent qrm from thos stations that are allowed to operate SSB
there.
