Regarding Hebrew language transmissions on KOL YISRAEL (The Israeli Broadcasting Authority): They relay network "B" of their home service from 0400 GMT until 2310 GMT on various shortwave frequencies. At 0400, you can quite probably pick them up on 9385 Khz. I have found that conditions this year have been quite poor for receiving them. In addition, they transmit a feature program in easy Hebrew directed towards overseas audiences at 2300 GMT. This program is receivable on 7412, 9440, or 9815 KHz. It is however jammed by the commies making reception quite difficult. Regarding whether the SONY 2002 can pick this up, I suppose it could with a good outdoor long wire antenna optimised for the 31 and 41 meter bands. However, their signal gets quite weak as you get further and further west across North America. My suggestion is to erect an antenna first and then try the SONY on a trial basis.
