What a piece of garbage! I got my second Omniswitch today because
the first one was defective.
The first one wouldn't sync (with my NEC 3D) in monochrome at all.
There were a couple of "screens" on top of each other on the right
side of the screen. It will only sync in the 60Hz color modes after
the monitor has been off for a while. It works fine in 50Hz (when I
run a program to change the scan rate).
The second one is worse. I KNEW it wasn't going to work. I get NO
monochrome image. It's like the monitor is off. The color image
seems to not have the red line connected. The whites are a light-
blue and there is never any red on the screen.
On top of it, the tech at Talon (the manufacturer -- if you want to
call it that :^( -- of the Omniswitch) is only there from 10am to
1pm. He probably takes a 3 hour lunch from 10am to 1pm too. This
really sucks big time.
Hope your day has been better than mine.
(If anyone would be willing to make a switchbox to connect my ST to
the NEC 3D, I would very grateful. I don't need the audio, just the
video. What's your price?)
