[comp.sys.atari.st.tech] Using a mono monitor with the same proportion as color

rlcollins@miavx1.acs.muohio.edu (Ryan 'Gozar' Collins) (12/14/90)

Having recently purchased a mono monitor I have a question. Has anyone
thought of a way to have the ST use it with everything in the same
proportion as in color? (the 8x8 font for everything, including the menu
bar, etc) For example, when you call up a directory, the window has twice
as many names listed since they are the smaller font, sorta like 49 line
mode.

It looks like the mouse pointer does it, and so do the icons. (They don't
have the stretched out look like they do in medium rez.)

Does this make sense? (Its awfully hard to explain.)
