[comp.sys.atari.st.tech] Serial Ports

arktik@nro.cs.athabascau.ca (Ryan Daum) (01/18/91)

A friend of mine runs a ///Turbo Board ST system. He has two computers
set up, each running a copy of Turbo Board. However, he has no way of
communicating (i.e. teleconference) between the two computers.

We originally had a door that let two users chat over the midi cables.
However, you can't page other users, or know when they are on.

We tried SGS-Net and MidiNet (from MX2). However, Turbo/FoReM are
extremely stubborn in that respect, and bug up when you try and use them.

What we would like to know, is is there an efficient method of
networking the hard drives on bother computers together, as well as maybe
a ramdisk? This would simplify it greatly.

 I hope you can help,
