Does anyone out there use more than one drive at once on a GE-Soft interface? I have a couple of drives that refuse to work together for very long. I have checked out the usual things- different SCSI addresses, termination resistors, power supplies etc. Many of these have been eliminated by the use of separate power supplies and 2 interface boards (The problem persists on both the SCSI and DMA chains). What seems very odd is that everything works perfectly to start with, but after about 15 mins, things start to fall apart one partition at a time (general corruption all over the place). This sounds like a software problem to me- can anyone shed any light on this? BTW the disks are a 48M 30ms Seagate ST157N-1 and a 40M 11ms Quantum P40S (nice drive!). I also tried all possible combinations with a Syquest SQ555. Thanks, Marcus Bointon.
