I am enrolled in a course utilizing distributed conferencing and
am looking for a software package that has VT100 emulation so
that I can log on to the University mainframe. Does anyone know of such
a program? Any help would be appreciated.

From what I know, there are several packages out there. FLASH has a
VT100 emulator, but I don't use it (I think it is incomplete); I do, however,
use the VT52 (default), and I can vi on it (I don't know if this is a VT52
function, since the ATARI VT52 application does not allow me to do so.)
HABACOM also has an (incomplete) VT100 emulator; I have not tried it yet,
so I cannot say if it's buggy or not (although I soon will, so if need be I'll
follow up). I don't think INTERLINK has a VT100. ATARI itself sells a VT100
emulator (20 or 30 bucks) -- you can even get it at your local FEDERATED! :-)
I cannot vouch for K.I.S.S.
That's all I know, except I've had no problems with FLASH or INTERLINK set
on VT52 for basic terminal functions. Good luck...

If you want to do DEC terminal emulation, run, don't walk, and grab a copy of
Uniterm. The latest version that I have is V20.e 011. It emulates all DEC
terminals from the VT52 through a VT200. It includes TEK4010 graphics and the
file transfer protocols XMODEM and KERMIT. I have used various versions of
Uniterm for 4 years now, and I have had nothing but good experiences with it.
The only things that I have noticed that it doesn't handle are the save and
restore cursor functions. And to top it all off, you get this very professional
package as freeware. You should be able to get a copy by anonymous ftp from
"atari.archive.umich.edu".

  It sure does!!!!!!!!!

It's about 95% there...but Uniterm is the best one I've seen.

Uniterm has a vt-100 emulator in it. Get it from atari.archive.

	Hi Bart and Brian,
I personally would recommend the VT100 emulator that comes with
Interlink. I have used many other VT100 emulations on the ST, but none of them
come close to the VT100/ANSI emulation that Interlink provides. It handles
color ANSI flawlessly, of course only in four colors because of the ST's
medium resolution. Interlink should be available at your local Atari dealer.
Bye.............

Hi, besides Uniterm there's another vt-100 emulator which is very good.
It's only vt-100 but it has all, I mean ALL! the features of vt-100.
It's called PC-Intercom, I think I got version 3.03 (very old). If You want
I can E-mail it to you.

                               Bye,
