[comp.sys.atari.st.tech] Debug ACC

barry@speaker.metaphor.com (Barry Friedman) (03/06/91)

When I use the Laser C environment for development, one of the things I've
noticed is that programs that run fine under the Laser C shell bomb when I
run them from the desktop. My guess is that the Laser shell is catching some
traps and handling them internally without letting me know about them.

Anyway, I'm looking for something that gives more useful information than
a couple of bombs on the screen. Maybe an ACC that will catch traps and
print a stack trace and allow me to dump memory and otherwise poke around
a bit so I can figure out what happened.

If this doesn't exist then I could probably write one if I knew how to
locate the symbol table and if I knew its format. If anyone has this can
they send it to me?

This would help me along greatly while I save up for LaserDB.

Thanks for your help.
