I just got done looking at the size of my VME slot in my MEGA STE and it seems like given the size of the card, you could put some pretty awesome hardware on it with all that room. Anyone have experience designing VME cards? I wonder if Mr. Small would consider an SST board as an add on card, instead of ripping my poor machine apart. I will be getting complete developer documentation in a few days so I should know the whole story very soon. What is really interesting is that the serial port is not even a real serial port, per se..it comes straight off the mother board. When and if a card ever comes out, this port will have to be removed as all it is, is a metal plate with an RS422 male connector ribbon tied to the motherboard. I have read about a lot of graphics cards for VME based computers. I wonder if it would be possible to design graphics cards for the MEGA STE??? --Gregory
