I think these books are more clear in some ways that the Abacus books. _Programmer's Guide to GEM_, by Balma and Fitler, SYBEX Books ISBN 0-89588-297-3 _Compute!'s Techincal Reference Guide to the Atari ST_ (three volumes) by Sheldon Leemon, Compute! Books Volume One: VDI ISBN 0-87455-149-8 Volume Two: AES ISBN 0-87455-093-9 Volume Three: TOS ISBN 0-87455-114-5 The Balma and Fitler book refers to GEM for the PC as well as the ST. The last three books were put out by the COMPUTE! magazine people (you may remember the COMPUTE! Atari ST magazine). COMPUTE! magazine might still have some copies, if your local tech bookstore cannot order them.
