My internal floppy mech. in my 1040STf is now dead. My question is does anyone out there know where to find a replacement mech. for the older ST's (The drives with the WIDE eject buttons) or is such a search considered futile? Also, can anyone post (or e-mail direct?) a list of drive mechanisms that should be avoided (ie. Chinon). Suggestions for the newer floppy mechs are also appreciated since it's looking like I'll have to get one of those. Unfortunately, if I do, I'll have to take a pair of snippers to my ST case for that tiny button.
