NJ Hams, don't buy that mobile scanner yet! As of February 5, 1985, State Assembly ll 2393 and the companion Senate bill are both in committee and no action is scheduled on either. Reportedly Governor Kean has been briefed and he is sympathetic, but he may never see the bill(s). I can't imagine that a revision to help hams is very high on the action priority list in spite of some hard lobblying by some hams with contacts in the state government. It's been tried before.
