Greetings, I recently borrowed a hard drive from a friend of mine and I can't seem to get it to work. But then again, I've never tried to hook up a hard drive before. The problem I'm getting is that the computer won't recognize the fact that the HD is there. I tried HINSTALL.PRG but it tells me there is no logical drive available; either that or it gives me two bombs. (I got HINSTALL.PRG from HDX301.LZH, from atari.archive). Anyway, anyone want to give me a crash course on how to set up a hard drive? (Also, the HD may have crashed, so I might need to reformat, but I tried and it won't even let me do that; but I'd rather try to see if I can try to get it running first). Here's my system (Don't Laugh!) Atari 520ST TOS 1.00 1 DSDD drive 1 SSDD drive Color Monitor and the drive is: SupraDrive 20MB with a Seagate ST157N (not sure, the 48MB Seagate) replacing the original drive. Please respond via e-mail. Thanks for all your help!!! David S. Rowell REYY@Vax5,cit,cornell.edu (Internet) .sig available upon request
