Recently I inherited a homebrew 80 -10 meter amplifier
from a local ham who has become inactive. The amplifier is
really a work of art and was easy to get back on the air.
The amplifier suffers from one problem. One of the 4-400A
tubes is defective and requires replacement. New 4-400A's
run typically in the $188 price range (one reason why you
don't see contruction articles using this tube any more).
Any suggestions for alternate sources for this tube?
