Until yesterday, everything was fine. I'm running HDX 3.01, and TOS 1.4 on a 1040ST with 1MB. My HD is a SH204. I have a single 20MB partition. It has been up to 17-18MB full, and I recently pulled stuff off to make room for MiNT and MGR. Fine. Now I start to fill it up, and WHAM! It reports that I've only got 15MB! Reboots, turn-off, cable-shakes, you name it. Still, 15MB! I want my hard drive! My only access to new software is through the Internet. There's not another ST around for miles. Hundreds of miles. We're talking PC boon-docks. Ideas? This may give me the perfect opportunity: reformat with a 15MB TOS partition and a 6MB MINIX partition for use with MiNT. I need *mkfs* for MINIX. Does the mkfs that comes with the demo of MINIX work on the Hard Drive? How about the address of the ftp site where the MINIX demo hides if it does. Thanks a million. I just had a similar problem. 32 mb partition showed up as a 16Mb partition. I tried rewriting the partition info (It looked OK to start with) and rebuilding the partition (used ICD Format program) but niether helped. Shoulda tried Cleanup... but I just Reformatted. Thank God for Backups! cummins@unx2.ucc.okstate.edu
