Having installed the c't external keyboard (AT keyboard into MIDI port), and being interested in buying an AT emulator (for programming, not for use ;-), I need to know if the available AT emulators (ATSpeed(+), ATOnce, PC-speed with 286 extension(?)) will accept the external keyboard. The external keyboard works by jumping into the middle of the keyboard interrupt handler (found by finding a specific cmp -- bra combination, ugh!) from the MIDI interrupt routine. (Oh boy). So, for the AT emulators to use this thingy succesfully they need to use the original keyboard input routines (i.e. NOT changing the interrupt vectors, just the BIOS handlers). I would appreciate any light you netlanders could shed on this. Also, what is the opinion on the general performance of the AT emulators? how is the service (say, in Germany, I live in London and speak Germen) how is the software compatability (extended - expanded memory etc) ? how well do they cooperate with ICD harddisks? Many thanks for any and all info.
