[comp.sys.atari.st.tech] Mega STe Question

johnj@knor.prl.philips.nl (John Janssen) (05/17/91)

Woow, I got a message from my local dealer that they
have received the Mega STe finally.
I called up the guy, which wanted to buy my 'old' ST,
sold it and went to the dealer.

Beeeh, they only received the 1M and 2M versions,
and as they provide good service (they simply exchange
computers in case of defects in the first few weeks after
the sale) I do not gonna upgrade it myself...

So, I have to wait another week for the 4M Mega STe.

But I do have some questions:

1. Does it come having the hard disk already formatted?

2. If not formatted, what partitions is the best choice?

3. How do I have to format the hard disk, when I want
one partition for a PC emulator?

4. Are there already PC emulators for the Mega STe?

Thanks.

The HD comes formatted and partitioned to four logical drives.

Depends on the applications and the data you're using.

Depends on the PC emulator you're using. Your emulator manual will
tell you this, or it isn't worth a cent.

SuperCharger works fine, the other emulators are in the adaptation process.
