I'm posting this message for someone without net-access. **PLEASE DIRECT ALL REPLIES TO THE ADDRESS AT THE END OF THE MESSAGE** Included message begins: Has anyone connected a PC VGA monitor to the ST? and is it possible? I am considering buying a monitor, ideally to work with the AT-Once PC board. If I get a colour VGA type PC monitor, could I use it for colour and mono modes on the ST, or am I limited to one or the other. Does a colour multi-scan overcome this? Also, does anyone know of a cheap and easy way (preferible no soldering) of connecting a high dencity drive to the ST. I have an STE with a 720K drive and ideally would like a HD drive as drive B. I can format disks on my friends PC to 1.44mb, will they work on the STE if I get a PC HD drive, or do I need to alter the controller chip or something? A few months ago (april I think), Atari ST user, had an article on a new TOS version from a group of hackers in germany, which was going to be a commercial product. Does anyone know where I can get these new TOS roms? They make GEM much faster, and fix alot of bugs. The STE has the TOS roms on sockets, so I think its just a matter of heaving them out and putting the new one in right? Oh, does the product (KAOS TOS I think it was called) work on the STE with blitter? One last thing on speeding up the STE, does anyone have any programs like Turbo ST, which are PD/Shareware which speed up the STE. I've already got QuickST, but that doesn't work in low res, and it now where near as good as Turbo ST. Turbo ST causes errors where used with the At-Once baord with my hard drive, and doesn't speed it up anyway. Has FATSPEED.PRG been converted to run on an STE now or not? Help on any of the above topics appreciated - Thanks..... Shane. Mail ID: (JANET) DDBAN206F@UK.AC.BIRMIGHAM.POLY.SYSA (RoW) DDBAN206F@sysa.poly.birmingham.ac.uk
