Hi. A couple of weeks ago my B/W monitor started to flicker. The size of the 'lit-up' part varied in size about 1 cm with a frequency of 1-4 Hz, and things are getting worse all the time. Sometimes there's an irregular shimmering too. These are all the symptoms. No extra (high frequent) noise, no ... Since I'm not afraid to handle a soldering iron, even with high voltage circuits, I'd like to have some ideas about what might be going on.
