I had a look at a Microsoft compatible mouse yesterday and since it plugs into a PC serial port I thought why not bung it in an ST serial port. I checked the wiring first and it uses GND, TX, RX and RTS (for power). Sure enough. Wiggling the mouse while running Uniterm gave loads of garbage on the screen. So the questions are:- * What is the correct BAUD rate? (I was getting 'reasonable' garbage at 1200) * How may databits and stopbits? * What does the 'garbage' mean? If I get good answers to the above then I'll write a driver to replace the standard mouse with the MS Mouse and/or support two mice. Why am I doing this? Well I just thought it might be fun to have two mice on one machine. I might even write a weird game to use them. Two player Missile Command anyone?
