Howdy - could someone please remind me where to get an adapter for fitting a standard DIP 68000 into the socket in an STe? (Not a Mega STe, if it matters.) Also, a while ago, someone mentioned seeing a board for sale that adapted a 68020+FPU to run in a 68000 socket. I contacted the company, and found that they make accelerators for Amigas. The 68020 product uses a 12MHz 020 running off the standard system clock (e.g., 8MHz in ST) and an FPU running as fast as you want, up to 50MHz. I didn't get a price on this item... However, they sell other models of accelerators - I've ordered a 25MHz 68030 for $600, to test in my STe. It would be great if I could run it at 16 or 32MHz, but I guess I'm just going to see if it runs at 8 first. Should be interesting. -- -- Howard Chu @ Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA Disclaimer: How would I know, I just got here!
