[comp.lang.idl-pvwave] Unformatted FORTRAN files and ASSOC

I have had some problems (actually it appears to be a bug) with reading VMS
unformatted
FORTRAN files and using the ASSOC() function.  I have a 3-dimensional real*4
unformatted
file and ASSOC with a variable.  When I try to access a record I get an erro to
the effect
of INVALID FORMAT FOR USE WITH ASSOC.  This works with unformattd byte files
but
not with real*4;  and yes, I tried the SEGMENTED option.  This has been
reported.  Has
any one else noticed this problem?  (I am using PVWAVE 3.03 on VMS 5.4)
