The tentative date for the launch of the 10th Navstar GPS Block II satellite is 20 November 1990. The satellite will be placed in orbit from Cape Canaveral onboard a Delta-II booster. A successful launch will bring the total number of usable GPS satellites to 16. (Source: USNO) ================================================================================ Richard B. Richard, Five more to go and the Desert Shield rats can avoid being lost for all 24 hours. Yes, and then we don't have to buy a $30K rubidium standard to hold the GPS-synchronized clocks when all the satellites are over the horizon. You can tell I'm a real fan. The generals told me (really) they expected 24 satellites, but I understand they will only get 21. On another occasion I will tell you when and why they told me that. Dave
