Hi folks, Everybody seems to be aware that the Sun4 machines have broken hardware clock support. But can anyone tell me specifically what the hardware problem is? Or barring that, what problems would someone running ntp on a sun4 see? (Let's assume that dosynctodr has been set to 0.) The reason I'm asking is that we have a 4/390 running ntp here as a client only, and as far as I can tell it's working fine. However, a 4/60 (sparcstation-1) running 4.1 seems to have large dispersions and offsets and other weird things. Please send mail to me, and I will summarize. Thanks very much. Manavendra K.
