[comp.protocols.time.ntp] Sparc 2 as a time server?

One of our campus time servers (a Sun 3/280) is about to be replaced by
a new Sun Sparc 2 system running SunOS 4.1.1.  Does anyone know if this
system will make a good time server, or should I find another system to
replace the time serving functions?  I'm running ntp if that makes a
difference.
