The stratum 1 server iis.ethz.ch will go down for 2-3 days in the week of 11 Feb, to be upgraded from a DS5400 to 5500. This will also be accompanied by an OS upgrade, which will entail installing the clock line discipline in the new kernel. I expect 2-3 days interruption in service, and a few more days where the machine might get rebooted more often than a time server should. When I know the exact dates, I'll post again. European users of iis.ethz.ch can get stratum 2 service from: bernina.ethz.ch (129.132.1.170) When iis.ethz.ch comes back up, it will have a new alias: swisstime.ethz.ch (129.132.1.160) The old address and name will still work for the near future. The address 129.132.1.160 will work now, but the alias is not yet registered. There are currently about 10 European sites taking time from iis.
