We have been running xntpd for several months on a large collection of suns, all running SunOS4.1. The archs include Sun3 260s, 50s, 60s, Sun3/80, SS1+, SS2. Although times are well sync'd, we see error messages of "Previous time adjustment didn't complete" on all systems. We've also seen the errors on our Solbourne 5/206 OS/MP 4.0d, but not on our microvaxes. All kernels have been modified to turn off dosynctodr and set tickadj to the "optimal" value, as claculated by the tickadj util that comes with the xntpd sources. Does anyone know the cause of the above errors?
