We have a Spectracom 8170 clock that we would like to use to set the time for our local net. I've gotten the XNTP distribution from louie.udel.edu and have looked at the refclock_wwvb driver. The comment section at the beginning of the file contains the following statement: "To do this you need to make a device consisting of a one-shot (74123 or similar) to shorten the pulse to something that can pass for a 19200 bps character, and an MC1488 or equivalent to convert to RS232 signal levels." Can someone send me (or tell me where to find) a schematic for such a device? In addition, if anyone has practical advice about getting this code running under ULTRIX 4.1 on a DECstation 5000 I would appreciate it. I'm pretty new to the UN*X world. Thanks R. Scott Butler E.
