I am going to start programming at home using OS/2 and I was wondering what the consensus is concerning the available programming tools. At work I have the IBM OS/2 Programming Tools And Reference set which I like. It has some nice tools (icon, bmap, dialog editors) and the on line reference program is pretty good. However, the documentation is somewhat difficult to follow unless you already know what you want to do and is bound with paperback book style spines which haven't started to go but may soon. I want to know if anyone has experience with the Microsoft version. Are the tools as good or better, how about the on-line help. The MS stuff I can get mail order for ~350, but the IBM stuff might be a lot more ~600 if I can't get the educational discount on it. Any help is appreciated. Please respond to terence@ttidca.tti.com Thanks, Terry
