I've just started running OS/2 on a 486 (see configuration data below). Whenever I try to copy a fairly large (i. e. > 100K) file from one of the floppies to the hard disk, I get an error that claims "not enough memory to start DOS mode", a trap (000C or 000D), and a fatal error that halts the processor. Copying files between the floppies works OK. Copying files on the hard disk is OK. Only between the two are there any problems. The "not enough memory to start DOS" message is something of a red herring because I get the same trap/halt (but without the DOS reference in the error message) if I set PROTECTONLY=YES. RMSIZE is set to 640, the maximum. Has anyone run into this problem? Anyone have a possible solution? Thanks in advance.
